The government has met with internet giants Facebook, Google, YouTube, Twitter, as well as the Asia Internet Coalition, to get feedback on its proposed fake news legislation.

"The discussion received a positive response from the social media providers," Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Azalina Othman Said said in a statement today.
