GE14 | Dismissing the existence of warring factions within PKR, president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail stressed that there is only one camp in the party.

“There is only one camp. My camp,” she told a press conference in Petaling Jaya this evening.

Wan Azizah blamed BN for creating the perception of factionalism within PKR, which was blamed for the drama which unfolded over the past two days concerning the party's candidates' list.

“That is talk. Of course, BN will create rifts but that is perception,” she added. 

Recent statements have alluded to fissures within the party over PKR’s list of candidates.

There had been rumours that PKR vice-president Tian Chua would quit, though the incumbent Batu MP has since reiterated his commitment to PKR.

However, Tian Chua did advise Anwar and Wan Azizah not to give in to factional interest in deciding the candidates' list.

Last night, Wan Azizah also urged the party to close ranks while describing herself as a mother to many children with different whims.
