Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has the prerogative to decide on cabinet appointments, stressed PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim.
He said any prior issues were simply because PKR felt the consultative process in Pakatan Harapan was not being fully adhered to.
"The prime minister has the prerogative to decide.
"I've given some minor input about positions, but you have to accept that someone has to decide.
"Our appeal when we had slight differences, by Keadilan as expressed by Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, it was because we felt the manner for the process of consultation was not being followed," Anwar said at a press conference at his home today.
He said this has been resolved, and Mahathir has assured that he would consult Pakatan Harapan party leaders.
Anwar said this when asked if he would be giving input on future cabinet appointments.
Last Saturday, PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli caused a stir when he claimed Mahathir had bulldozed the appointment of three cabinet ministers without consulting PKR.
It was learnt that PKR representatives were not present during the meeting in which Mahathir decided on who would fill the posts of finance minister, defence minister and home minister.
Meanwhile, Anwar said that he has told Mahathir that he needs time with his family.
In the meantime, he said, he will leave it to Mahathir and Deputy Prime Minister Wan Azizah to lead the country.
"I will be kept informed, but I don't need to be in the cabinet," he added.
