DAP lawmaker Fong Kui Lun has urged Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to cut out middlemen in allocating lots for petty traders, following a Ramadan bazaar scandal that he had been dragged into.
"I suggest that DBKL abolishes all these Ramadan, Chinese New Year or Deepavali (stall bookings via middlemen).
"They should directly give the lots to the individual applicants, not through any of the NGOs or societies," the Bukit Bintang MP told reporters when met in Kuala Lumpur today...
