A Road Transport Department (RTD) enforcement officer was injured when a student on a motorcycle rammed into him at a roadblock in Jalan Tengku Ismail, Temerloh yesterday.

Temerloh district police chief ACP Zundin Mahmood said Tajudin Taib, 36, was on roadblock duty when the mishap occurred at 10.55 am.

The victim was about 100 metres away from the roadblock before being rammed by a 19-year-old vocational college student who was riding against the tide, he said in a statement here today.

Zundin said the RTD officer suffered injuries on his hands and feet.

However, the student from Taman Bukit Cermin in Mentakab escaped unhurt, he said.

The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
