PARLIAMENT | The supply bill seeking to redistribute allocations to the restructured ministries was passed in the Dewan Rakyat tonight.

The bill, which affects 14 ministries, was passed without objection.

The committee stage of the bill had before this debated the reallocation for each ministry individually beginning with the Economic Affairs Ministry and ending with the Finance Ministry.

After the 14th general election, several ministries were restructured and renamed, new ministries were established and one ministry dissolved.

Hence, the new government had to redistribute funds to these ministries.

The total reallocation for management purposes is RM3.06 billion while the total for development is RM6.23 billion.
