The son of a handicapped man beheaded his father and cut his body into six parts after he became angry at him for taking drugs in their home in Kampung Kanthan Baru in Ipoh today.

Perak Crime Investigation Department head Yahya Abdul Rahman said that in the incident at midnight yesterday, the 52-year-old suspect murdered his father You Su Kim, 74, while he was high on syabu or methamphetamines.

“The suspect was working as a contractor but had been jobless for three months.

“During the incident, the suspect was high and murdered his father for scolding him for taking drugs in the house,” Yahya told reporters when met at the location here today.

He said police received a report of the incident at about 1.30pm before a police team rushed to the location and found the suspect who took them to the house.

“Initial investigations found one of the five rooms in the house to have blood stains, and upon questioning, the suspect showed his father’s head which he had buried at the back of their house.

“Asked about the other parts of the body which had been cut into six parts, the suspect said he had thrown it all into the five-foot sewage tank. The body parts were discarded about 12m from the head,” he said.

Yahya said after further investigations at the scene, police found a 0.6-metre parang in one of the rooms which was used to cut up the victim’s body.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, he said.
