About 67 Filipino undocumented migrants were arrested in Tanjung Labian when they tried to sneak into the country this morning.

Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) 13th Brigade commander Arman Rumaizi Ahmad said the immigrants, comprising 35 men, 13 women and 19 children, were aged between four and 50 years.

“The success is the result of patrols conducted under the Coastal Beach Op under the command of Esscom’s 13th Brigade, which is the Third Battalion of the Royal Ranger Regiment,” he said in a statement today.

Arman said they also seized 17 boats, of which 16 were pump boats, valued at an estimated RM25,500.

He said all the undocumented migrants had been sent to the Lahad Datu Police Station for further action.
