MCA president Wee Ka Siong has questioned why Pakatan Harapan leaders have not spoken up over the implication of Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's political secretary in a Felda graft case.

"It's truly appalling that not a single Harapan leader has dared to raise a single objection or comment on Mahathir's political secretary being implicated as the middleman in nine of the 10 corruption charges filed against (former Felda chairperson) Mohd Isa Samad on Friday," he said in a statement.

Wee was referring to Zahid Md Arip, whose name was mentioned in the graft charges against Isa.

Isa is accused of receiving RM3 million in kickbacks from Felda's purchase of a hotel in Kuching.

Zahid, who was previously Isa's special officer, was named as an intermediary in the deal.

Wee also took issue with Mahathir's statement that Zahid will remain his political secretary unless he is charged and convicted.

"Where are the voices of the likes of (DAP parliamentary leader) Lim Kit Siang, (PKR president) Anwar Ibrahim, (DAP deputy chairperson) Gobind Singh Deo, (DAP secretary-general) Lim Guan Eng, and those who claim that the Harapan government practices 'rule of law' and clean government?

"Have all of these so-called proponents of clean government been fully muted now due to personal interests, and their comfy positions in the ruling government?" he asked.

Zahid had declined to comment, citing the matter is now a court case.
