PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli is embarking on a Twitter campaign to prove that Malaysians are willing to take jobs with salaries below RM2,300 per month.

"According to my friend (who is in the SME industry), there are about 2,000 job vacancies offering salaries between RM1,800 and RM2,300, open to Malaysians with SPM certification and above.

"(But my friend said) Malaysians are not interested (in these jobs).

"If you are interested, please re-tweet. I want to prove that many are interested," Rafizi tweeted this afternoon.

As of writing, the tweet has been re-tweeted over 2,000 times, with many asking where they can send their résumé to.

Rafizi said he will provide the email addresses once he proves his point.

"I want to prove that many want these kinds of jobs. I don't understand why employers say they can't find Malaysian workers," he said.
