Call for more severe penalty over insults against prophet

Several representatives of PAS and NGOs, as well as tertiary students, held a demonstration in Kota Bahru today against the insulting of Prophet Muhammad on social media.
They gathered for about 30 minutes.
PAS Dewan Ulamak information chief Mohd Asri Daud told reporters after the gathering that the federal government must take more severe action against those who insult the prophet.
“We leave it to the national leadership to determine the penalty,” he said.
