"If I have such a follower, I will resign and dissolve the party. For us, morality is the foundation of the party.
"Morality protects our identity and forms the core of our struggle, our daily lives, and our ups and downs in the general elections," he stressed.
Although he did not mention names, his remarks at the 60th PAS Youth muktamar in Kuantan today came in the wake of a sex scandal implicating PKR deputy president Azmin Ali and PKR Santubong Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz.
Last Sunday, PKR president Anwar Ibrahim said no action would be taken against Haziq who admitted his involvement in the sexual escapade, recordings of which have since been leaked.
Anwar also said PKR would wait for the outcome of the police investigation rather than make a hasty decision on Haziq.
However, the PKR political bureau yesterday decided to issue a show cause letter to the Youth leader.
PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man yesterday reiterated his party's stand that a person who confessed to an immoral act must be punished in order to prevent others from making similar allegations against another.
In a “confession” posted on his Facebook account, Haziq claimed that the sexual encounter took place in Azmin's hotel room in Sandakan, Sabah, last month.
Azmin, who is also the economic affairs minister, has described the videos as a nefarious plot designed to ruin his political career.
He is also convinced that those behind the sex videos were from PKR.
The police are currently investigating the videos and determining if the clips are authentic.
