Early voters to vote tomorrow, all 280 police officers and personnel

TG PIAI POLLS | A total of 280 early voters in the Tanjung Piai parliamentary by-election will cast their ballots tomorrow.

Election Commission (EC) chairperson Azhar Azizan Harun said today the early voters, all of them police personnel, will vote at the Pontian police station's Perkep building.

“The early voting centre in the Perkep building for the N55 Pekan Nanas constituency will be open from 8am to 1pm, while the N56 Kukup constituency will be open from 8am to 5pm,” he said.

Azhar said the voting process will be monitored by agents of the contesting candidates and observers appointed by the EC.

He said the process will also be streamed live on EC's Facebook page. 

Azhar added that the ballot boxes would be kept at the police station lock-up and will be open for counting on polling day, which is Saturday.
