Dutch police nab two for planning terror attack

A special anti-terror unit of the Dutch police arrested two suspects for allegedly planning a terrorist attack in the Netherlands, Xinhua news agency reported, quoting the Dutch public prosecutor on Tuesday.

The arrests took place in The Hague and Zoetermeer on Monday. The two men, aged 20 and 34 respectively from Zoetermeer, were suspected of planning a terrorist attack with one or more car bombs and bomb jackets by the end of this year in the Netherlands.

The target of the planned attack has yet to be known.

After information by the general intelligence and security service AIVD (General Intelligence and Security Service), the arrests were done by the special interventions unit DSI.

The houses of both suspects were searched.
