No en-masse quarantine for China tourists and 5 news from yesterday

1. The government will not move to quarantine all China tourists in the country, Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad announced. Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail also said this when citing that Beijing already has a lockdown in place for regions affected by the Wuhan virus.

2. Four people, including two Malaysians, are under isolation for suspected coronavirus. Six Malindo Air crew members are also being quarantined in China after coming into contact with a passenger who is suspected to have the virus.

3. Police have detained the family which brought their child - who was suspected to have the virus - out of the hospital against orders.

4. More than 2,000 people have been infected and at least 56 killed by the Wuhan virus worldwide. Experts warn it is becoming more infectious.
