Bukit Antarabangsa assemblyperson Azmin Ali and Gombak Setia assemblyperson Hilman Idham were today moved to the opposition bench during the opening of the Selangor state assembly sitting for this year.
They join other Bersatu assemblypersons on the opposition bench. Bersatu was dismissed from the Pakatan Harapan-led state government after it quit Harapan and formed a new government at the federal level with PKR defectors, BN, PAS, GPS and other minor parties.
"I consider them as the opposition but whether they are independent or with Bersatu - I have yet to receive an official letter from them.
"The only letter I received is from PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution which confirmed the two assemblyperson - Bukit Antarabangsa and Gombak Setia - have been sacked and are therefore no longer part of the government," said state assembly speaker Ng Suee Lim (below).

Azmin is also the Gombak MP and international trade and industry minister under the Perikatan Nasional-led federal government.
Hilman has confirmed that he joined Bersatu when asked by the media today.
"I did not quit PKR. I was sacked... (I joined) Bersatu," he said briefly.
Four Bersatu assemblypersons, namely Harumaini Omar (Batang Kali), Mohd Shaid Rosli (Jeram), Sallehudin Amiruddin (Jeram) and Adhif Syan Abdullah (Dengkil), have said they will continue to support the Harapan-led Selangor government despite being expelled from it.
However, Ng said they are still considered opposition assemblypersons.
"Unless they come to an agreement with the Selangor Harapan leadership about their status, then I will make a decision.
"Or else, they are considered part of the opposition bloc," he said.
In a separate matter, Ng claimed Azmin had not submitted any questions for the government to respond to in the state assembly since the last general election.
"It could be said that in the last one to two years, there has not been a single record of questions that were submitted. There were zero. Perhaps he is not interested in asking questions.
"When he was the menteri besar, there was no need but after the general election, he has consistently not submitted any questions," he said.
Meanwhile, Selangor Menteri Besar Amiruddin Shaari said the Selangor state assembly sitting may be shortened due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
He said several accompanying events for the opening of the state assembly sitting have already been cancelled.
"We try to shorten it as much as possible but we must also respect the House and the standing orders," he said.
