Lembah Pantai MPP rated excellent by DBKL, MP tells FT Minister
Lembah Pantai MP Fahmi Fadzil has refuted Federal Territories Minister Annuar Musa's justification to restructure all Resident Representative Councils (MPP) under 10 Harapan-held seats.
Fahmi pointed out that Kuala Lumpur City Hall and the Federal Territories Ministry at its appreciation night on Feb 28 had awarded Lembah Pantai MPP with a gold or excellent rating.

Fahmi (photo) pointed out that Kuala Lumpur City Hall and the Federal Territories Ministry at its appreciation night on Feb 28 had awarded Lembah Pantai MPP with a gold or excellent rating.
"This award was given as recognition to quality of work, completed reports and activities on the ground carried out by Lembah Pantai MPP.
"In fact during a retreat programme, Lembah Pantai was recognised by DBKL and ministry officers present as being among the best MPP," he said in a Facebook post.
As such, Fahmi questioned Annuar's statement today that the ministry had moved to terminate services of all MPP members after purportedly receiving complaints of unsatisfactory services and non-compliance to guidelines.
Based on the reports from local authorities, Annuar said he found that there were "inactive MPPs" with no expenditure reports submitted for further scrutiny.
Annuar was responding to an earlier call by Fahmi and eight other KL Harapan MP, as well as Labuan MP Rozman Ismail for a review to the decision to terminate services of all MPP members under their constituencies.
"If it is true there are non-functioning MPPs, at least just restructure those MPPs by taking into account recommendations from its member of parliament.
"Not all of them terminated simultaneously in this manner. And not during this time when the movement control order is in force amid the Covid-19 outbreak," said Fahmi.
In a statement, Annuar also said that the new MPP members will be appointed in two weeks and their services would resume as normal.
