Ex-deputy minister pleads not guilty to fake news charge
Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh has claimed trial to a charge of spreading fake news using her Facebook page.
The former deputy minister pleaded not guilty after a court interpreter read out the charges to her before magistrate R Salini at the Johor Bahru magistrate court, reported English daily The Star.

The 61-year old is accused of committing the offence at Taman Imigresen on April 9 when she is said to have shared a statement that could cause fear or alarm to the public.
If found guilty under Section 505 (b) of the Penal Code, she faces imprisonment of up to two years, a fine, or both.
She was released on an RM3,000 bail with one surety.
Hassan Abdul Karim and John Fernandez represented Fuziah while Nor Azizah Mohamad prosecuted.
Early this month, Fuziah had allegedly uploaded a video showing a group of Malaysians flooding the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex in Johor Bahru.
The Immigration Department had refuted the video and lodged a police report on the matter.
