Sabah Pakatan Harapan urged national leaders to emulate the Sabah and Sarawak model in handling race relations.
In a statement today, representatives from Sabah PKR, DAP, and Amanah said the political formula in these two states could overcome the political "turmoil" of late.

In a statement today, representatives from Sabah PKR, DAP, and Amanah said the political formula in these two states could overcome the political "turmoil" of late.
"It is high time for Sabah and Sarawak leaders to be given strategic roles in leading the country because of their wisdom and maturity in managing ethnic and religious diversity," said the three leaders.
The three were Sabah PKR and Sabah Harapan head Christina Liew (above), Sabah DAP head Frankie Poon, and Sabah Amanah head Lahirul Latigu.
The three leaders said they wanted the "mandate of the people to be restored" as this was important in order to address economic and educational issues.
"In the context of the state, Sabah Harapan is of the view that the government led by Warisan needs to be maintained for the political stability of the state.
"We fully support Mohd Shafie Apdal to continue with the state's leadership which has so far proved to be beneficial for the people of Sabah as a whole," they said.
Currently, MPs from Gabungan Parti Sarawak, the ruling coalition in Sarawak are supportive of the Perikatan Nasional federal government while Sabah Harapan and Warisan are not.
PN is widely believed to be hamstrung at the national legislative level due to the uncertain level of support for Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin which has never been tested in Parliament before.
