Police to complete probe into firefighter Adib case in near future
The police are in the midst of completing their investigation into the death of firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim.
Bukit Aman criminal investigation department director Huzir Mohamed said this in a media conference at Bukit Aman today.
"We will take action as ordered by the prosecution. In the near future, we will complete (the investigation paper) as what has been ordered.
"We will submit (the investigation paper) and discuss with the Attorney-General," he said.

Without elaborating on the details of the probe into Muhammad Adib's (above) case, Huzir said the police's focus now is to complete the investigation in the near future.
On June 21, de facto Law Minister Takiyuddin Hassan informed the media that the probe was ongoing.
"The police are in the midst of investigating the case to identify the perpetrators. That was what was told to the cabinet. The government or the Attorney-General's Chambers will take action based on the probe. We'll wait for that.
"The home minister also confirmed that the case is still under investigation. There's no expiry date for a criminal case, so charges would be made once there is enough evidence," Takiyuddin said.
Adib died at the National Heart Institute on Dec 17, 2018, after succumbing to injuries sustained during riots near the Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Subang Jaya about a month earlier.
Last September, coroner Rofiah Mohamad ruled that Adib's death was a criminal act perpetrated by two or three unidentified assailants during the riots.
Adib's father Mohd Kassim Abdul Hamid had hoped for justice to be served over his son's death.
Hannah Yeoh sedition investigation and other cases
Meanwhile, on the investigation against Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh over an allegedly seditious post, Huzir said the police will submit their investigation paper to the Attorney-General's office.
"She had already given her statement. We will submit the investigation paper to the prosecution, and let them decide," he said.
Yeoh (above) was investigated under the Sedition Act for allegedly producing a post on social media which was deemed seditious and inflammatory.
However, she had stressed since March this year that the post, attributed to her, was fake.
On M Indira Gandhi's missing daughter, Huzir said there had been no update as the investigation was put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
On a rape case involving a Nigerian woman victim on June 4, Huzir said one suspect was charged under Section 324 of the Penal Code for intentionally causing injury using weapons or other dangerous objects, as well as section 375 and 377(C) of the Penal Code for rape and sodomy.
Three other accomplices will also be charged under Section 375 and 377(C), with one of them to be slapped with another charge under Section 324.
The case was in the spotlight recently after there were claims that the police did not take any action against the perpetrators.
