  • Latest places added: SMK Bintulu, Sarawak;  Taman Pinang Jaya, Kedah; Kampung Padang Che Mas Dalam Wang, Pulai.

Below are verified locations that are reported to be affected today.

However, the list does not include locations that have been closed temporarily pending results of swab tests on persons under investigation.

These locations have also been duly sanitised.

Malaysiakini will continue adding to the list as more locations are announced.

Businesses

- AEON Bukit Tinggi, Klang

The management of the Fitness First Platinum gym located inside Aeon Bukit Tinggi, Klang has issued a notice saying that a member tested positive on Oct 11, Sinchew Daily reported.

The gym is now closed until further notice.

- MBSB Bank, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur

An employee of MBSB Bank based at Kenanga International, Jalan Sultan Ismail has tested positive for Covid-19.

The branch is closed for cleaning works on Oct 12, while those who had direct contact with the patient have been ordered to work from home.

- Restoran Anak Mami (Bundusan), Penampang

The Penampang Health Office issued a notice urging all who dined-in at this restaurant from Sept 24 to Oct 5 to contact the health office at 088-722 857 or 011-6411 9704.

- Maybank Puchong Prima and Maybank Bandar Puteri Puchong

These Maybank branches are closed temporarily for "deep cleaning" after possible exposure to the Covid-19 virus through an "external person", they said.

- Machines, Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur

An employee has tested positive, Machine said in a statement today.

The employee was last at the outlet on Oct 8.

Yesterday, Mid Valley Megamall announced an employee of London Sales Cosmetics, which runs an outlet at the mall, tested positive.

Schools

- SK Bandar Tasik Puteri, Rawang

Two students have tested positive, the Gombak Health Department confirms.

Screening for close contacts will be done at Dewan Siantan, the New Straits Times reported. 

- SJKC Jenjarom, Banting

This school has been closed for 14 days from Oct 12 to 25 after a family member of a student tested positive for Covid-19. It is learned that the student is also suspected to be infected, and a swab test has been done.

In the latest development, the student has also been tested positive, according to Nanyang Siang Pau report quoting the school board chairperson.

- SMK USJ 12, Subang Jaya

A student was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on Oct 9.

According to M Singam, a spokesperson for the school's Parent-Teacher Association, sanitisation and cleaning works were done on the same day, and the school is expected to do another round soon.

The school is currently closed until Oct 25 as it is located in the Petaling district, which is a red zone.

- SM AU Keramat, Kuala Lumpur

The school management has put up a notice saying they are closed until Oct 18 for disinfection and cleaning works.

This was confirmed by the Kuala Lumpur Education Department when contacted today. The department, however, could not confirm if there was a positive case at the school.

Earlier, it was reported that two cases were detected at Jalan AU 2A, Taman Seri Keramat.

- IQ Care Centre, Seri Kembangan

A student at this preschool has tested positive, the school told parents in a notice on Oct 10.

The child's older sister is the SMK Seri Kembangan student who tested positive earlier.

- SMK Bintulu, Sarawak

Bernama quoted Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee announcing today that SMK Bintulu is closed for seven days from Oct 10 to 16 after a Covid-19 case was detected at the school.


Residences

- Taman Ambar, Alor Setar and Taman Tunku Putra, Kulim

One case has been detected in each of these residential areas, the Kedah State Health Department said in a notice on its Facebook page.

- Armanee Terrace Condominium, Petaling Jaya

A resident at Block A of Armanee Terrace Condominium in Damansara Perdana tested positive for Covid-19 on Oct 6.

According to a notice sent out by the condo management to all residents, the resident had returned from Sabah on Oct 1.

A management representative told Malaysiakini two residents were tested, but only one tested positive. Both had self-isolated until their results were known.

The management has also carried out sanitisation works at the block and its surrounding areas.

- Taman Pinang Jaya, Bukit Pinang, Kedah

The Kedah Health Department said one case has been detected in the residential area, which is part of the Kota Setar district.

- Kampung Padang Che Mas Dalam Wang, Pulai

The Kedah Health Department said seven cases have been detected in the village, which is part of the Baling district.
