Water supply stable in 77pct of affected areas, says Air Selangor

Air Selangor reported that as of 6am this morning, water supply has been stable in 664 areas (77 percent) out of 861 affected by yesterday's unscheduled water disruption.
Air Selangor said it is working to stabilise the distribution of water in 197 areas still affected. Yesterday, it announced that full restoration can be expected by 11.59pm tonight.
For Kuala Selangor, 100 percent of its water supply has been restored. 99 percent has been restored for Petaling.
Other affected areas include Kuala Lumpur (95.5 percent restored), Hulu Selangor (82.6 percent), Klang/Shah Alam (61.8 percent), Gombak (61.7 percent), and Kuala Langat (50 percent).
The disruption yesterday occurred after four water treatment plants had to be shut down for around four hours due to raw water pollution in Sungai Selangor.
"Alternative water supply assistance through public taps and Local Service Centers is still available for the convenience of users who are still affected.
"Air Selangor advises consumers to comply with the conditional movement control order rules while taking water from tanker trucks and other public utilities provided," it said in a statement today.
