1. Most states and territories in Malaysia will be placed under more relaxed conditional or recovery movement control orders beginning March 5, as the number of Covid-19 cases continues to decline.

2. Malaysia has conditionally approved Covid-19 vaccines developed by AstraZeneca and Sinovac, but other regulatory hurdles still remain before either vaccine can be deployed.

3. Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Md Yunos has publicly apologised for defaming former minister Yeo Bee Yin as part of a settlement in a defamation suit against him.

4. Sebatik assemblyperson Hassan A Gani Pg Amir has withdrawn a pre-signed letter which stated that he would resign from office if he quits Warisan after claiming he had signed it under duress.

5. Despite a string of defections, PKR president Anwar Ibrahim claimed Perikatan Nasional still doesn't have the numbers to command a majority in the Dewan Rakyat.

6. Simpang Renggam MP Maszlee Malik has sent a letter of demand to Umno Youth chief Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki for blaming the Pakatan Harapan government over the contents of a Form 4 History textbook, which Asyraf claimed "glorified communists".

7. Johor DAP committee member Dr Boo Cheng Hau has questioned the logic of vaccinating elected representatives ahead of more at-risk healthcare workers. Private hospitals are lobbying to purchase and administer Covid-19 vaccines on their own.

8. A survey found that only one-in-five Malaysians want to see Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin complete his term as prime minister.

9. Following the contempt verdict against Malaysiakini over readers' comments, Sungai Buloh MP Sivarasa Rasiah said it is impossible for small publishers to moderate every reader's comments, and a 'flag and takedown' system would work best.

10. Police refuted claims that a warrant is required to execute a search on activist Jufazli Shi Ahmad's home.
