Aziz Kaprawi recovering, 'induced coma' plan cancelled

The health of former deputy transport minister Ab Aziz Kaprawi has taken an upturn and now he no longer needs to be placed in an induced coma.
This is according to his brother, Khir Johari Kaprawi, who made an updated post on Facebook today.
Khir said Aziz (above) was informed that the planned "medically induced coma" procedure that was scheduled for today did not proceed considering the improvement in his health.
"Syukur alhamdulillah, thanks to the constant prayers of the people. May it continue until he is completely healed. Allahuakhbar," said Khir.
Earlier, the media reported that Aziz and his wife Sabariah Tokimin had tested positive for Covid-19.
The former Sri Gading MP was admitted to Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital in Batu Pahat, Johor while his wife was quarantined at home.
Last night, Khir said his brother's oxygen levels were reportedly unstable and it was likely he would be placed in an induced coma today.
Aziz was the deputy minister of transport during Najib Abdul Razak's rule and also served in the Johor government exco before that.
