Aziz Kaprawi expected to be put in medically-induced coma due to Covid-19

Former deputy transport minister Ab Aziz Kaprawi is reportedly expected to be put in a medically-induced coma later today due to his condition worsening from Covid-19.
His brother, Khir Johari Kaprawi, said the doctor treating Aziz had said the former Sri Gading MP has minor lung damage and his oxygen level is unstable as a result.
He added his brother had wanted the procedure to be postponed to today as “he believes he is still doing well”.
“We are hoping for a miracle that he would not be placed under that procedure,” Khir said, as reported by Free Malaysia Today.
Last night, Khir had posted on Facebook about his brother’s condition and asked for prayers for Aziz.
In an updated post, Khir said his brother's situation has improved and a medically induced coma is no longer necessary.

Aziz and his wife Sabariah Tokimin had previously tested positive for Covid-19.
Aziz, 62, had been admitted to the Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital in Batu Pahat on Dec 16 whereas Sabariah is currently undergoing home quarantine.
Aziz had served as deputy transport minister during Najib Abdul Razak’s tenure as prime minister. Before that, he also served as a Johor executive councillor.
