The Ministry of Finance is inviting all parties to give their feedback to a public survey related to the Targeted Subsidy Programme to be used as input for the government in setting up the programme.

In a statement today, MoF said responses to the survey could be downloaded via a special webpage.

“MoF welcomes feedback for this public survey to be completed and submitted on or before Aug 30, 2022,” it said.

The ministry said the survey is to ensure subsidies provided by the government could fully benefit the target group.

“This public survey is also a new approach of the MoF in the series of Public Consultation Papers (PCP) in an effort to make the annual budget preparation process more transparent and the involvement of all parties as a whole.

Besides that, it said, the government is confident the publication of the PCP would provide more opportunities for all stakeholders to give their feedback.

This will enable the government to formulate an annual budget that meets the needs of the people, said the ministry.

This initiative is also in line with the country’s socio-economic development policy, it added.
