As the 15th general election draws near, PKR will kick off a series of mega rallies across the country this coming Sunday.

The first “Rapat Mega Keadilan” rally will happen in Gombak, Selangor, from 5pm to midnight, PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil announced at a press conference today.

Asked why Gombak was picked as the first spot for the rally, Fahmi stopped short of mentioning names, but said the focus would be on the seats of “traitors”.

“We focus on seats (of elected representatives) who have betrayed the rakyat. The rakyat are disappointed with the damage caused by these traitors to their trust in the democratic system.

“We should fix that. I have personally seen voters telling me that they will never vote again, due to the act of the ‘Si Kitol’ and ‘Mendeliar’, and we should rectify that,” said Fahmi.

“This Sunday, we are going to besiege Gombak, show that PKR still commands support, and hopefully, seize back the seat in GE15,” Fahmi added.

While Fahmi did not mention names, it is believed to allude to former PKR deputy president cum Gombak MP Azmin Ali, who played a key role in 2020’s “Sheraton move”, which led to the fall of the Pakatan Harapan government.

The ‘Si Kitol’ and ‘Mendeliar’, meanwhile, refer to two treacherous individuals in 16th century Malacca, who according to the Malay Annals left Malacca vulnerable to the invading Portuguese, and led to the collapse of the Malacca Sultanate.

Fahmi added that the mega rally will then move on to every state, where senior party figures, such as president Anwar Ibrahim, his deputy Rafizi Ramli, and vice-presidents will be in attendance.
