COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 2,913 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.

Active cases currently stood at 31,747, up 30.5 percent compared to 14 days ago.

New cases according to states are as follows:

Another three deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday in Johor (1), Penang (1) and Sabah (1).

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,478 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.

There were 101 deaths last month and 158 deaths in September.

There are 1,430 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 60 are in intensive care.

The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (121) followed by Sabah (101) and Johor (51).
