Chia-Soh bag second Olympic bronze medal

National men’s doubles shuttlers Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik won bronze at the Paris Olympics.

The pair defeated Denmark’s Kim Astrup-Anders Skaarup Rasmussen 16-21, 22-20, and 21-19.

This is the pair's second Olympic bronze medal after clinching their first during the Tokyo Olympics.

Chia and Soh appeared to be struggling during the first half of the match.

In the second set, the Danes were on the cusp of victory when they were leading 16-20 against the Malaysians.

However, Chia and Soh staged a comeback, equalising the score to 20-20 before winning the set 22-20.

They were in better form during the rubber set, at one point leading by six points before Astrup and Rasmussen caught up.

However, Chia and Soh emerged victorious in the end.

All eyes will now be on single player Lee Zii Jia, who will be facing off against India's Lakshya Sen for the bronze tomorrow.
