PAS congratulates Trump, urges him not to yield to Israel

PAS has congratulated Donald Trump for winning the US presidential election.

The party’s information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari said PAS hoped Trump would resist Israel and embark on a “peace-oriented” agenda.

“We urge Trump not to yield to the demands of Israel in the Middle East, as this could foster resentment toward the US among Muslims and result in America being seen as a puppet of Israeli interests.

“We also hope that with this victory, the world will experience a term free from global conflicts, especially during Trump’s second term, fostering stability and international understanding,” Fadhli (above) said in a Facebook post last night.

Trump has close ties with embattled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Republican leader reportedly wants to see the war in Gaza over by the time he takes office, with a swift Israeli victory.

He has also told Netanyahu to “do what you have to do” to defend Israel.
