A group of investors claiming to be victims of entrepreneur Allan Goh Hwan Hua urged the authorities to take action against the co-founder of MYAirline.
They made the demand during a protest outside Allan’s residence in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam. However, it was later found that Allan no longer resides there.
Around 20 police officers were present at the scene.
The group’s spokesperson Daniel Goh said they gathered today to urge the authorities to intervene in their case so as to ensure they get back over RM8 million in investments.
“We want to know what the authorities have done so far. What happened after he (Allan) got remanded? You have been investigating for 15 months now… what is the update?
“He still walks around freely with our money. It’s our retirement fund. Some invested RM50,000, some parted away with hundreds of thousands and even millions,” Daniel told Malaysiakini.
He also said it didn’t help when the Kuala Lumpur High Court decided Allan had no case to answer. In fact, the businessperson even did not call any witnesses for his defence.
‘Why no criminal charges?’
Daniel also asked why the authorities have not imposed criminal charges against Allan even after the authorities fined him for soliciting investments without proper approvals.

He said Allan’s I-Serve (Group of Companies) directly or indirectly had been fined RM50 million for taking deposits illegally, which is an offence under Bank Negara Malaysia laws.
“They paid the fine within days but still there are no criminal charges levelled.
“This not a petty offence like illegal parking or running over the traffic light - where you just get fined.
“This is a serious criminal offence and we want the authorities to act,” Daniel lamented.
Suit filed
In October 2023, 15 individuals filed a civil suit against Allan and four companies for failing to settle investments amounting to RM8 million.
The investors, aged between 58 and 74, named Allan, 57, and four other companies - I-Serve Online Mall Sdn Bhd (Isom), Bright Moon Venture Plt (BMV), Qa Smart Partnership Plt (QAS) and Trillion Cove Holdings Berhad (TCH) in their suit.

Allan serves the companies in various capacities.
In the suit filed through Messrs Raj & Sach, the plaintiffs claimed that Allan and Isom had intentionally cheated them by not settling their dues despite having been served with a demand letter.
‘Freeze his accounts’
Another protester, who only wanted to be known as Azmi, urged the authorities to charge Allan under Section 402 of the Penal Code with deception over an investment scheme.
“We have no idea why there is no update to this case in terms of Section 402. The investors have already lodged police reports but there is nothing done. Bank Negara should freeze their accounts.
“So, I hope a criminal investigation is launched… at least we will have justice,” Azmi said, adding he had invested RM250,000 in Allan’s scheme.
“We just want to know what the police are doing about this case.
“There are laws to deal with such cases but they are not being invoked. Why is this happening?” he asked.

Mustaqim Kumar Abdullah, 46, urged the police to act swiftly on the matter.
“By right, he should have been arrested. Now, he has gone missing… no one knows where he is.
“We urge the authorities to act to ensure no one else falls victim to him,” he added.
The protesters dispersed peacefully at 12.45pm.
