Bukit Aman has taken over the investigation into the death of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) student Syamsul Haris Shamsudin, who died after sustaining injuries during a Reserve Officer Training Unit (Rotu) training at an army camp in Johor.

This followed yesterday's order by the Shah Alam High Court for the exhumation of Syamsul's body to allow for a second post-mortem.
