Federal Court judge Ahmad Terrirudin Salleh has recused himself from the apex court panel presiding over the government’s appeal on Section 233(1)(a) of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 (CMA).

This came after lawyer Malik Imtiaz Sarwar voiced his concerns to the panel chaired by Court of Appeal president Abu Bakar Jais, as Terrirudin had previously argued the case in the lower court.
