• Former Selangor BN chief Noh Omar indicated his decision to rejoin Umno was partly due to the party’s renewed anti-DAP position.

  Noh was sacked from Umno in January 2023 after rebelling against party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, and joined Bersatu a year later.

  He was quoted by Sinar Harian as saying yesterday that he decided to quit Bersatu due to disappointment with party president Muhyiddin Yassin, whom he accused of disregarding supreme council decisions.

• Former DAP veteran Ronnie Liu wants to return from retirement, but not with his old party.

  

  “I’ve decided to make a comeback. I’m looking for a new platform - not any platform, but one that represents positive energy, non‑racial politics, and which says bye‑bye to old‑fashioned parties,” he said in an interview with Scoop.

  However, he declined to confirm whether this will be Parti Bersama Malaysia or Warisan.
