Govt to end 5G monopoly
The government has announced a plan that would end Digital Nasional Berhad's 5G network monopoly.
The plan is for DNB to continue rolling out 5G services as is for now.
However, once the rollout hits 80 percent - targeted later this year - the government will switch to a dual-network system.
CelcomDigi terminated its share subscription agreement with DNB not long after the announcement.

OPR back to pre-pandemic level
Bank Negara increased its overnight policy rate by 25 basis points to 3 percent.
Those with home loans and other floating interest rate loans will have to pay higher interest going forward.
Economists - who mostly expected Bank Negara to maintain the OPR rate at 2.75 percent - expect the hike this week to be the last for this year.
