Cuti-cuti civil servant
Malaysiakini has uncovered a new KLIA syndicate that allows some rogue civil servants to travel abroad without immigration records.
The “phantom travels” syndicate allegedly helps lower-ranking civil servants escape scrutiny from their superiors about their kickback-funded holidays.
Abetted by immigration officers, these civil servants slip in and out of the country without having their passports stamped - meaning there's no record that they're in London and not Langkawi.

Najib gets another DNAA
Najib Abdul Razak was granted a second discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA).
This is over his second SRC International criminal case involving alleged money laundering, separate from the corruption case for which he is serving jail time.
The High Court granted the DNAA after the case made no progress since charges were filed in 2019.
Prosecutors, however, said their hands were tied as the documents needed for the case are in use for the 1MDB trial.
Previously, Najib was granted a DNAA over criminal breach of trust charges in the IPIC case.

Pinching EPF savings for health
The government is mulling a voluntary scheme that would allow you to pay for your rising health insurance premiums using your EPF Account 2.
Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad hopes the scheme will help more people get covered by private insurance without feeling broke each month.
Government politicians, however, warn that insurance companies will take advantage of the situation to milk your retirement savings.
