The cybertroopers fluffing PM's ego
Malaysiakini has uncovered a network of 263 cybertroopers artificially boosting support for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Facebook.
Despite the large network, their vocabulary, as one expert who reviewed the data put it, was lazy.
While cybertroopers fluffing up Anwar's ego is no surprise, the report appeared to have struck a nerve.
Less than two hours after Malaysiakini published its report, several of its Facebook pages were suspended for over an hour.

Bersatu squabbles, Azmin video dredged
The sex video scandal that dogged Bersatu secretary-general Azmin Ali for most of 2019 is back to haunt him.
Bersatu supreme council member Wan Saiful Wan Jan claimed to have received credible information last year that the video was real.
The timing of his allegations coincides with a disciplinary probe against him for allegedly being one of the ringleaders behind a push to oust Muhyiddin Yassin as Bersatu president.
Besides dredging up the sex video scandal, Wan Saiful is also accusing Azmin of making threats against Muhyiddin's perceived enemies.
