Wanita Umno championing financial transparency
Wanita Umno chief Noraini Ahmad wants the party to be at the forefront of getting a Political Financing Act enacted.
In her speech at the Umno AGM, she said every sen should be disclosed, and all donors’ identities made public.
Such a move if supported, would help distance Umno from a legacy of being viewed as a corrupt party.
Meanwhile, after days of wallowing, Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh has decided not to quit from his party post. Instead, he is resigning as a Malacca exco member so that he can spend more time fighting DAP.
