Dongzhi festival, which is also known as Winter Solstice festival, is one of the most important festivals celebrated by the Chinese during the Dongzhi solar term on or around December 22.
Dongzhi Festival is also a time for families to get together, where tangyuan is made and eaten to symbolize reunion.
