Tense scenes witnessed as demonstrators calling for the Batu Caves Sri Mahamariamman Temple to be 'saved' clash with supporters of the temple committee. 

Organisers Reform Batu Caves and Persatuan Hindu Agamam Ani Malaysia are demanding that the temple committee be placed under the Registrar of Societies.

The demonstration went ahead despite a court injunction being issued against Hindu Agamam Ani from uttering negative remarks against the temple committee.
