The Xinjiang-related report released by the infamous anti-China pseudo-scholar Adrian Zenz is of no scientific and academic value, full of bias and cannot be trusted at all, said foreign ministry's Wang Wenbin on Monday.

Zenz said in a new report that because of various policies by China in Xinjiang, that a large drop in births can be expected for Uygur ethnic minorities in southern Xinjiang between now and 2040.

Wang dismissed the report at a regular press conference in Beijing.

"We've debunked how Zenz spread lies and rumours on Xinjiang to smear and attack China in various despicable ways.

"People with vision and media agencies and experts across the world have all pointed out that the reports by Zenz, filled with bias and smears against China, have zero academic value.

"He's nothing but a fake academic with a bankrupt reputation. His so-called reports are by no means to be trusted," he said.
