I refer to Chai Ming Hock's letter China not all that innocent .
I think all Chinese Malaysian organisations which rally against Japan's rewriting of its school textbooks are doing the right thing not because Japan invaded and humiliated China in World War II, but because we Indians, Chinese, Malays and others suffered tremendously under the Japanese during the Occupation years.
During the WWII, thousands of Indians from Malaya were sent by the Japanese to the Thai-Burma border to build the Death Railway . Many died of starvation, malnutrition, torture and tropical diseases.
I call on all right-thinking Indian Malaysian organisations to join forces with their Chinese counterparts in demanding for justice from the Japanese.
I hope the governments of China, Malaysia and Singapore will unite to oppose Japan's application for a seat on the UN Security Council.
Instead, China, Malaysia and Singapore should support peace-loving India and Germany to fill the position.
