If what S Samy Vellu, who declared that 80 percent of the Indians in Ijok had voted for BN, is true, we cannot hold our heads up anymore. The Indians are openly disgraced and deprived of their constitutional rights by the ruling party, and what do they do? Vote BN so that the apartheid policies enforced by Umno can continue to spread like a plague. When will the Indians realise that BN is a racist coalition controlled by the Malay elite?

If the purpose of the discriminatory New Economic Policy (NEP) policies are truly to eradicate poverty, let it then be based on income levels. Are we so starved of economic intelligence in this country that we cannot base our nation's economic targets on income levels but instead take the easy route and base it on race? Are not the poverty-stricken Indians also citizens of this country?

Are you not the prime minister for all citizens, Mr Badawi? Or are you still on your never-ending 'honeymoon', which began the day you became PM? As many Malaysians know, you have placed Malaysia on 'auto-pilot' since you became PM.

The nation knows that the Mahathir Mohamad regime created the massively corrupt system which caused the indiscriminate plunder of our nation's wealth. However, the present regime has gone one step further by not just raising their 'keris' in public but also openly suggesting that the weapon be used against the other races.

What more will it take for the Indians to wake up to these methods of open discrimination and threats? Malaysiakini letter-writer Shoba put it in a nutshell in her Samy Vellu should step down from pedestal where she said that "The only time we are given any respect is during elections when our mandate is badly needed". Doesn't every single Indian see this clear truth, or are the Umno politicians right about the Indians - that they are all "like lambs being led to a slaughterhouse"?

Mr PM, we all know that during your tenure as deputy prime minister, your only role was to smile and cut ribbons at grand ceremonies while workaholic Mahathir did all the work. You have a nice smile and it worked well.

However, this may come as a surprise to you but Mahathir has retired and you are now the PM of Malaysia. There is a lot of work to do and son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin is just too young, arrogant and too racist to do it all for you. He is letting all senior government officials run riot in his no-holds-barred quest to become the PM one day, let alone having absolutely no legal authority to do so.

Just wake up and look around you, Mr PM. Your law minister doesn't even know what laws we have in Malaysia and condemns the Bar Council for fighting for a better judicial system. He was a disgrace on Al Jazeera, not being able to even understand the question raised. You have a ready replacement in Malik Imtiaz Sarwar. Indeed, Malik behaved more like the law minister.

Look at your education minister. The level of education in our government schools is pathetic to say the least. Instead of working on improving the education system, he raises the 'keris' in public and later tries to justify such cowardly acts.

Look at your works minister. It is no longer startling news to read about roads and buildings either cracking up or falling apart. Look at your transport minister. He is only interested in fast-forwarding massive new projects and awarding them to close associates. This case-by-case situation can go on and on for all your cabinet ministers and all those down the line.

Look at your tourism minister. Just compare Malaysia's tourist arrivals to neighbouring countries like Thailand and Philippines. Well, maybe not as you may be given fictitious numbers as what happened with the 30 percent bumiputera quota issue.

Mr PM, didn't you maintain a report card on all your cabinet ministers? They have failed the test miserably over and over again but you still have them sit by your side. Are you going by the principle, "In the land of the blind, the one-eyed is king?"

As an Indian Malaysian, I know that my time in this country is limited, with the likes of apartheid promoting Khairy and weapon-wielding Hishammuddin Hussein contending for the future top cabinet posts.

There is no Indian representation in the Malaysian government today. MIC, as everyone knows, is merely a slave of Umno. Representatives of MIC are cowards who only dare to call women for fist-fights. When Umno commands, people like S Sothinathan will run with their "tail between their legs".

Samy Vellu has exploited the Indian community for decades. Even when he is caught siphoning millions of shares meant for the Indian community to his own companies, nothing happens, and he remains as a senior minister in your cabinet. He has blocked even the natural progression of the Indian community in Malaysia. To maintain his huge ego and wealth, he has been the cause of why Indians only have one full ministerial post.

The situation has become so bad for Indians in Malaysia that some are now risking it all (like Hindraf legal adviser P Uthayakumar) to highlight the plight of the Malaysian Indians. And instead of assisting this struggle, Samy Vellu opposes this cause.

Uthayakumar, you didn't have to request for US$4 trillion. MIC members could be excluded because for all legal purposes, they are pseudo-Umnoputeras.

Anwar Ibrahim, it's time to join forces with all other opposition parties as a Barisan Alternatif to achieve the main goal, i.e. to stop the on-going rape of our resources by Umno.

Samy Vellu, stop misleading the Indians and take MIC out of Barisan Nasional.

Mr PM, even the sleeping beauty finally woke up. It's time you did too.
