More 'swindlers' now, so GST needed

vox populi small thumbnail 'The cheek of these incorrigible pirates in public office. Not enough that they have been ripping us off for decades and squandering billions, now they want to introduce GST?'

Gov't to impose 4% goods and services tax

Kgan: This Goods and Services Tax (GST) will start at 4% and will be gradually ramped up. Claiming that GST will not affect the Consumer Price Index is nonsense. Where is the extra money collected going to come from?

It comes from the consumers, of course. In a corrupt country, taxes are high but returns to citizens are little.

13th GE!: The ‘swindlers' are increasing in numbers, so the rakyat must be taxed to fill the ‘swindlers' pockets. I hope there is a ‘force' that will punish these fools.

Pak Ubu: If the government of the day is seen to be managing the economy sensibly and with integrity, such a move will be accepted with only minimal resistance.

However, in view of the recent Auditor-General's Report and the shocking revelations therein about how Umno/BN has been utterly cavalier with our money, the rakyat must surely be asking: ‘How dare they?'

The cheek of these incorrigible pirates in public office. Not enough that they have been ripping us off for decades and squandering billions just to aggrandise themselves, now they want to introduce GST? The rakyat must tell them loud and clear exactly how we feel about this.

Sudevan: More revenue to feed you Umno people? Sigh. The amount of revenue taken from excise duty isn't enough?

PI's lawyer: 'Anwar not behind Bala tapes'

Jimmy Ng: Ticktock, ticktock, ticktock and the clock keeps on ticking. In the meantime, frantic phone calls are being placed by the you-know-whos in a last-ditch attempt to bring closure to this can of worms?

Guess what? In this instance, Malaysians ‘tidak akan begitu mudah lupa lagi'. Oh, what a wonderful story this will be to tell all our grandchildren and great grandchildren! Indeed, a most interesting chapter is about to unfold in the annals of Malaysian history perhaps?

John Pah: Now begins the biggest cover-up in Malaysian history.

Gk: Why argue who is or are the murderer(s)? They know better themselves even if this is not proven legally. Let's the murderers live with their sins for the rest of their lives. They know better if they are murderers or otherwise.

Teoh laid to rest for the final time

Zenn-zi: The abuse of fundamental human rights in the pathetically party-guided ‘democratic' government has gone to incredible extremes. Imagine that murders could be surreptitiously covered-up, and suspects connected to the powerful openly set free (some even sent overseas on mission).

Yet what can the oppressed do in a nation where the executive, the judiciary and the law- enforcers collude to suppress the opponents incessantly for the past few decades? Do not expect any extraordinary revelation from the exhumation.

Anwar backs Hindraf's Vasantha

lvbala: That should be the way, Anwar Ibrahim. We should stand as one. United regardless of race, ethnicity and religion. United we must stand and free this holy land from corruption. Make Malaysia proud. Be a proud Malaysian.

Raja Rajan: Again Pakatan Rakyat has abandoned its true friends by embracing the false 'Hindraf' fall guys. Anwar Ibrahim should have used his head independently. But sadly, he allowed himself to be influenced.

In a true form of a typical politician, Anwar embraces K Vasanthakumar and brags that he had a 'Hindraf catch'. How this 'catch' will help Anwar to capture his holy grail - Putrajaya - remains to be seen.

Maddy: Good luck, Anwar. You are making one more Nallakaruppan. Watch my words. Vasanthakumar will leave Pakatan come the next general election saying that Pakatan is had done nothing for the Indians. This Special Branch man is doing a great job for his paymasters.
