Why not upload the clip on the Net?

vox populi small thumbnail 'If the man in the sex video clip was indeed Anwar, Umno would have uploaded the clip without any hesitation.'

'RM1 mil demanded for each MP to watch video'

Disgusted: It is definitely not about blackmailing Anwar Ibrahim for money. It is all about bringing down Anwar and leaving Pakatan Rakyat without a credible Malay/Muslim leader to lead it.

PAS leaders are not suitable. DAP's leaders are mostly Chinese and therefore do not "qualify" in this country. PKR does not have any other strong replacement as deputy president Azmin Ali is not well-liked by many and will not be able to garner mass support.

Therefore, it is all a plan to leave PKR and Pakatan in tethers and sabotage its fighting capabilities in Sarawak, as well as the rest of Malaysia should PM Najib Razak call for a snap GE.

Najib has to call for a general election before the economy goes on a tailspin as the events in Middle East and Japan, etc, may cause oil prices to go up and cause widespread inflation which this country cannot afford. If that happens, BN will be on the receiving end from the rakyat and may lose in a GE. So it has to be soon.

BTN: Umno will stop at nothing to destroy DSAI (Anwar) and his family. The politics play by Umno is not only unprofessional but downright dirty. Every time there is a election, you will notice the government agencies working overtime to churn out lies just to undermine the opposition.

Surely this is not the type of people we want to be associated with when it comes to religion. I definitely do not want to go the heaven with this type of people if their wrongdoings are accepted and allowed.

Ipohcrite: Shazryl Eskay Abdullah should have worn a condom over his head for his own protection instead of calling for protection from the police. I recognise a blackmailer and political pimp when I see one.

Ex-Malacca CM, businessman behind sex video: PKR

SMC77: Put it in the simplest form, if the man in the sex video clip was indeed Anwar Ibrahim, Umno and BN would have uploaded the clip to all websites without any hesitation.

The reason they keep it so secret and not reveal the clip to the public only confirms that the man is not Anwar. It is just the perception they want to create. After the general election, there will be no more sex scandal.

Sick Negara: After the release of Dr Mahathir Mohamad's memoirs alleging Anwar as a womaniser, all his budak suruhan (retainers) sprang into action as if it was all planned.

Who protected Rahim Thanby Chik? Who was awarded the contract to build the crooked bridge to Singapore during Mahathir's time?

Perhaps Dr M really wants to finish off Anwar once and for all. He thought he had, but Abdullah Ahmad Badawi did not help him to make sure that Anwar remained in jail long enough. So, now he has to do it himself, once and for all.

Brahman: Shazryl was a physiotherapist brought back to Malaysia by the former culture and sports minister. He was close to former deputy home minister Megat Junid Megat Ayob who later introduce him to Anwar and Mahathir. He was their masseur and even had a room specially built in his house to accommodate these high-profile clients.

Well-known in Kedah for all the wrong reasons, he made his living as Mr Fixit and would used any means available or any connection to enrich himself.

Isa@1penyu: Who cares who is behind the video? The pertinent question is: did Anwar do it with that girl? Whether he was framed is another matter. Until the authenticity of the video can be ascertained, stop crying ‘conspiracy'.

1wood: If Anwar is the real person in this sex video, do you think all the BN leaders would be so calm? Everything would have broken loose. Such an opportunity to nail the opposition leader is not easy to come by.

The police would be the first to nab him. Hishammuddin would have laughed all the way home. PM Najib Razak would say to the police force 'well done' and 'I help you, you help me', so rewards await them soon. Chua Soi Lek would be happy as he has a new partner of same class.

Anonymous_3e86: Under Malaysian law, having sex with an underaged minor is a crime (Rahim Tamby Chik). Having oral sex is a crime (Chua Soi Lek). Making a sex video and screening it is a crime. Possessing a sex video is a crime.

However, having sex with another person is not a crime. It may be infidelity, but it is not a crime.

We Can Live: What is the motive of ‘Datuk T'? Is he trying to extort Anwar and his wife? This has all the hallmarks of political extortion. This is definitely seeking to "put someone in fear of accusation of an offence" and an offence like this can attract 20 years' imprisonment.

Carcosa Seri Negara clarifies video screening

Anonymous_3e06: You got to be upfront in your business. You are a renowned hotel and you are involved in such shady deal? You said you were not in the know? That is a lie - the many journalists who were coming would have told you something big was happening there. You went along with the drama, now you are in denial.

Gerard Samuel Vijayan: It's too late from Carcosa. The rich and famous should avoid this hotel like the plague.

Is it okay for a porno film to be screened on the premises? The Carcosa is actually not just a hotel but a great historical monument where a large part of our colonial legacy was created being the official residence of countless British high commissioners in Malaya, in effect the seat of the colonial government.

This history has now been defiled and even the great personalities who lived in this house will be turning in their graves wondering what has happened to their beloved Malaya.

Anonymous_3f94: If Carcosa was really not a party to these proceedings, they should be suing Rahim Thamby Chik & Co for loss of future earnings, and they should have made a police report immediately. They have done none of these things. We can only assume the worst of this hotel.
