Police will investigate allegations over a religious issue by two local bloggers published in a local newspaper today.

In this connection, deputy inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar, advised the public to exercise caution when raising such issues, adding that action would be taken against those who flouted the law.

He also advised the public against raising sensitive issues on religion which could jeopardise the harmonious living in the country.

On a claim by a woman that she was cheated of RM13,000 by a policeman who promised to secure bail for the release of her two sons who were detained for alleged involvement in motorcycle theft, Khalid said the police had identified the owner of the bank account into which the money was deposited into.

He said police were still investigating the case.
