PKR has questioned the locus standi of fugitive blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK) to dictate the party's direction or future.

NONE "Who is Raja Petra, for him to dictate the direction of the party? He is not even a member.

"He has been ... disconnected from the country," deputy president Azmin Ali told reporters at party headquarters in Petaling Jaya today.

Repeating his earlier claim that RPK has turned mercenary and an Umno hireling, Azmin said that the blogger was no longer in London and was in the region to do his (dirty) work and may even be allowed to return home.

Any comments by the blogger - once the darling of PKR for his staunch support of the party - are "irrelevant", added Azmin, as RPK doesn't have the clout or right to chart the party's future.

"Only the rakyat can do that. Which is why we (PKR) has been talking to the people, and their response to us, thus far, has been good," he said.

Azmin's response comes amidst a scathing attack on PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim by the blogger-activist in a recent series of interviews with the mainstream media.

In an interview published by Mingguan Malaysia , Berita Minggu and New Sunday Times on Sunday, RPK also hinted that Azmin would make a far less viable leader than vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar in a post-Anwar PKR.

He said he saw nothing in Azmin to warrant him being a leader, and went on to accuse the deputy president of constantly plotting and scheming.
