Utusan Malaysia today carried a front page report over the possible look of the Pakatan Rakyat cabinet should the opposition coalition form the next government.

pakatan convention 191209 three parties leaders Quoting blog papagomo.com , the paper speculated that Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim ( centre, in picture ) will be the prime minister should the opposition coalition wins and that there will be two deputy prime ministers in PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng.

It claimed that 13 from PKR will be ministers, 10 from PAS and eight from DAP.

It also reported that two veteran DAP leaders Karpal Singh and Lim Kit Siang, and PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu will not be on the list.

pkr congress 281110 shuhaimi Papagomo , in his website, had claimed the list came from Sri Muda assemblyperson Shuhaimi Shafiei ( right ) who, together with PKR deputy president Azmin Ali, were reported to have been chided by PAS secretary-general Mustafa Ali yesterday for making statements which are not in accordance with Pakatan's decision.

Meanwhile, Shuhaimi denied the speculation made in the blog.                                        

“What I stated was just a general picture when asked by journalists. I have not made any statement on the list of 20 ministers and what I merely said was 20 PKR leaders whom I think should hold posts in the cabinet,” he said.

Shuhaimi added he believes his statement had been sensationalised by certain quarters.

The Utusan article became fodder for jokes for Bung Mokhtar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan), who, while debating the budget speech in Parliament, ribbed long-time opposition leaders who were not listed.

“Bukit Mertajam’s hair was white before, but now it’s even whiter from working hard for so long and yet she is not listed! Pity her!” he said.

NONE In response, Chong Eng (DAP-Bukit Mertajam) ( right ) commented that Bung’s hair was white, too, only now the MP, who created a stir by marrying celebrity Zizie Izette in 2010, has “painted it black”.

“You've been here for a while, too, but you’re still sitting there (in the backbenches) and not here (on the front bench),” she retorted.

Bung Mokhtar also prodded Teresa Kok (DAP-Seputeh) for missing out, to which she said: “I have a question for clarification. Will Kinabatangan be fielded as a candidate in the next general election?”

Without missing a beat, the BN MP said: “I am diligent, Kota Belud (Abdul Rahman Dahlan) is diligent and the deputy speaker (Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar) works hard day and night to care for the rakyat so the government would miss out if it doesn’t field us.”

The Pakatan Rakyat MPs laughed the matter off and denied the list, saying that the matter has not been finalised yet.

“It’s best that these things be decided only after we win or else it will remain a cabinet in shadows,” PKR’s Bandar Tun Razak MP Abdul Khalid Ibrahim told reporters.
