Selangor BN deputy chief Noh Omar said that those who are unhappy with Malaysia’s electoral system should "live in the jungle".

He said this in support for Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s article, which urged those who are unhappy with Malaysia’s electoral system to migrate abroad.

NONE “The opposition seems to have gone overboard and has no respect for the constitution and common decency. I personally and fully support Zahid’s ( left ) statement.

“If you don’t want to follow the law, go live in the forest,” he said at a press conference today, after a handover ceremony at the Ministry of Agriculture, where Ismail Sabri is taking over from Noh as its minister.

Noh also told reporters that he accepts responsibility for BN’s defeat in Selangor and the decision to drop him from the cabinet line-up.

“Although we were initially confident of winning, but at the last moment, a ‘tsunami’ had occurred,” he said.

BN won only 12 state seats in Selangor, down from 20 seats won in 2008. There are 56 state seats in Selangor, of which Pakatan Rakyat won 44.

Noh was speaking to reporters after a ceremony to mark the handover of duties to the new Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Minister Ismail Sabri.

He said that he was thankful to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak for appointing as a minister in the previous cabinet and stressed that he will continue to support BN's policies.

"Cabinet appointments are the premier's prerogative... Leaders come and go. What's important is that the policies must continue," he said.
