The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has recorded statements from an aide to PKR deputy president Azmin Ali over a video clip posted on YouTube .

The clip , titled " Program Tukar Orang Melayu (Project IC by Mahathir) ", contained a copy of Azmin's press release accusing former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad's of being behind a citizenship-for-votes scheme.

NONE The aide, Saiful Asraf Idris, was questioned for about two hours at MCMC's enforcement and investigations department office in Kuala Lumpur.

Azmin's special officer Hilman Idham ( in blue shirt ) told the press later that, among others, Saiful ( in pink shirt ) was questioned about Azmin's press release which accompanied the video.

“We have been told that this interrogation is an order from the Attorney-General’s Department. We hope this isn’t a move by the government to scare us from speaking the truth,” said Hilman, who spoke on Saiful's behalf.

The investigation was carried out under Section 255 of the Multimedia and Communications Act 1998, which requires the attendance of the person acquainted with the case.

The  video clip was uploaded by a YouTube user known as "naturewar" on Feb 19. Azmin's press release dated Jan 18 was appended to the description box for the video.

Azmin was questioned by the MCMC on March 13 over the same clip.
